Meet our Staff

  • Lara M. Bangerter

    Executive Director

Lara has been the director of the Lehi Historical Society since 2017. Under her leadership, the historical society has moved to a computer-based operation that makes our collections searchable by keyword, locations easily found and an online library available to the public. She directs the Lehi Historical Marker Program and has been in charge of Lehi Heritage Day for more than 10 years. She grew up in Grand Junction, Colo., and has lived in Lehi for 20 years. She enjoys organizing, reading, traveling and playing with her husband, children and grandchildren.

  • Paula Berg

    Archivist

Paula is our new archivist as of summer 2024. She organizes, sorts out and fixes collection issues, oversees our volunteers, creates displays and does anything else that needs to be done.  She has an associate degree in Family History Research and a bachelor’s in Professional Studies. She was raised in Orem and has lived in Lehi for 25 years. She loves gardening, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

  • Robb Strong

  • Elder Allred

Elder Allred has volunteered at the historical society since in junior year in high school. He has played a huge role in helping us figure out how to break down the work of an archivist into the work many volunteers can do. As one of our scanning technicians, he has scanned thousands and thousands of photos and documents in his time here. He was our first service missionary. Elder Allred lives in Eagle Mountain and is serving a service mission in the Eagle Mountain Saratoga Springs Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoys history and likes to play basketball.

  • Elder Crow

Elder Crow lives in American Fork and is serving a service mission in the Orem Utah Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is so quiet you can forget he is in the room, but he is doing a great work. He spends his time at the historical society creating descriptions for the many thousands of items that currently do not have more than a title in our computer system. He enjoys reading and cooking.

  • Elder Gray

Elder Gray lives in American Fork and is serving a service mission in the Orem Utah Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thanks to his awesome graphic design abilities, he spends most of his time designing the advertising and programs for the Lehi Historical Marker Program. He loves to draw and write stories.

  • Elder Lish

Elder Lish lives in American Fork and is serving a service mission in the Orem Utah Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is quality control for the historical society’s largest collection, the John Haws Primary Source Collection. He is working to make sure all items, existing metadata and photos are represented in our online library.

  • Sister Conde

Sister Conde lives in Eagle Mountain and is serving a service mission in the Eagle Mountain East Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She prepares images for upload, updates collections and does anything else that needs to be done. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and dogs.

  • Sister Peterson

Sister Peterson is from Cary, N.C., and is serving a service mission in the Orem Utah Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She assigns metadata to items and collections. She loves to illustrate and paint portraits and loves history, especially art history. She is also serving at Family Search and doing online indexing.

Volunteer With Us

It's amazing how much an army of volunteers can achieve, and the Lehi Historical Society is a great example. Membrse come together once a month to determine projects and next steps, plan Lehi Heritage Day, work on the Lehi Historical Marker Program and consider items for the gift shop.
